Dr Stewart Ward graduated from RMIT in 2012 with a Bachelor in Health Sciences & Masters in Clinical Chiropractic and has been in private practice ever since. He also holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage & Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy, giving him a unique mix where he combines soft tissue work and traditional chiropractic methods.
Stewart loves working with people of all shapes and sizes to help them with their pain and function aiming to get his patients moving well again and back doing what it is that they love. He is particularly passionate in working with athletes of all ages, sizes and sports in both injury management and enhancing performance.

In his free time Stewart is an avid weightlifter, recreational golfer and gigantic nerd who can easily jump from back squats to Batman in the same sentence.
He is a voracious reader, occasional gamer, a decent cook, loves listening to podcasts, and spending time with his family and friends.

Techniques used:

Stewart believes in having many tools to get the job done and as such is trained and proficient in many different soft tissue techniques (active release, Graston/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation, FAKTR) , rehabilitation exercises, cupping and taping.

On the Chiropractic side, he primarily uses the “Gonstead” style but is able to tailor his approach to meet your needs. He is also proficient in more low force methods like the Activator techinque and regularly does extremity based adjustments such as with the ankles and wrists.

Clinical Interests

While our primary focus is on spinal disorders (low back pain, neck pain, disc injuries, sciatica etc) and headache-related disorders (including migraines), Stewart has a vast amount of experience working with common sports and work-related injuries such as tennis elbow, rotator cuff syndrome and tendon injuries, temporomandibular/TMJ disorders along with enhancing sporting performance such as weightlifting and golf
